LETS START THE SEARCH FOR OUR OBAMA IN EARNEST

Hi Kenyans both at home and in the diaspora.

This is a new blog dedicated entirely on how we can move forward in Kenya and forget what we have been subjected to by our political class for last 45 years.

I wish to welcome everybody aboard this boat of HOPE and let everyone submitt the qualities of whom we think should be our next leader. The personality of this leader should be beyond reproach and has got no smelly luggage on his back. Please lets not talk of any leader who has practised politics in Kenya for the last Five years.

I have in mind the likes of Maina Kiai's of this world and some other silent people from any region of this country who can truly inspire us and raise our patriotic feelings which have been trumpled upon for so long. Preferably the person we are looking for should be less than 50 years old. You are invited to mention names and reasons as to why you think the person fits in our kind of quality leadership. We may even vote later on in this blog and see how our proposed persons fare.

Let me pose this question? Supposing Obama was a Kenyan, whould we have elected him the way he was elected in America? IF your answer is yes, then you are the kind of a contributer I am looking forward to.

PLEASE AVOID THE KIND OF TRIVIALITIES WE HAVE BEEN SEEING IN SOME BLOGS.

WELCOME.

HIS IS IT. I HOPE KENYANS HAVE LEARNT A LESSON FROM MR OBAMA'S WIN.I PRAY THAT NO PRACTISING POLITICIAN WILL BE CHICKY TO TRY AND MUTATE FAST AND PRESENT HIMSELF TO US AS AN OBAMA.

LETS START SUBMITTING AND VOTE FOR OUR NEXT LEADER. AND REMEMBER TO KEEP THE TRIBAL VITRIOL OUT OF THIS.

BRAVO.

I bet we would have just votted the same way we votted last year i.e. along pure tribal lines and no one can deny this thing.

well the folly of you asking us to throw names around is that had Americans asked the same question in 2003, the name Obama would never have come up. We therefore need to think beyond the pool of the usual suspects.

We also get who we vote for. What are the chances of a nondescript young man talking about HOPE, refusing to "make big elections about small things" ever getting the attention of the people? Aren't we still stuck in the politics of the absurd, side-showing, gimmickery, sloganeering and bribery?

I know I sound pessimistic; but the journey starts here.

I propose SAM OKELLO for president in 2012. This young author has a fire burning in him. He can move chairs. He can move livestock. He's one gentleman that a lot of Kenyans both at home and in the diaspora pay attention to whenever he speaks.

Let's help this man form a team that will unite all of us as a nation.

I endorse SAM OKELLO for president.
